October brought about the end to the harvest really. Marrow, squash, cucamelon, tomato, corn, onions, chillis, shallots etc. What I couldn’t eat was given away or made into pickles or chutney.

Realising that “you only get what you pay for” I got rid of the old cheapy plastic compost bin and built a new wooden one. A great bit of kit this because the front wooden slats are fitted at an angle to allow them to be removed to dig the compost out. Drop me a message for more info.
