Rain Stop Play

I had every intention of finishing what I started on the plot today when I saw the glorious sunshine at 9 am. But it slowly got darker and started spitting with rain. No worries I thought, I’ll get a few things done at home.

Then it rained!

So all I got done was to sow some mustard. lettuce and carrots.
I’ve never really tried over winter crops before. All I did with these was to sprinkle them on some multipurpose compost in seed trays and pots and cover with a centimeter of compost.
These were put in the new cold frame that I put together yesterday. I bought a pair of these from Lidl a year ago and one has served me well all year.
This one on Amazon is the same but with different branding:  Aluminium Coldframe

Finished cold frame
Adjustable vents
Easy to open
First sowings in: Mustard, Lettuce, Carrots
Easy to build, just need a screwdriver. Basic instructions included and simple to understand

Hi Nice blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out. many thanks
