THINGS LEARNED THE HARD WAY

• Water potatoes in pots more often to avoid scab
• Be wary of Municipal (Council) compost – it could contain anything including weedkiller & seeds
• Lidl/Aldi compost – is cheap but needs feeding sooner
• Cheap is cheap for a reason – plastic compost bin shattered after 5 months!
• Always grow brassicas under nets!
• Blackberries – keep or bin ??? Are they worth the space?
